This feminine portrait depicting Magdalena Muñoz Cobo was started in 1928. He wanted to gift it to her as wedding present, but unfortunately he cannot be able to finish it due his death.
Romero de Torres painted this work for the niece of a close friend, the general Diego Muñoz Cobo y Serrano, also portrayed in 1919 when he was appointed minister.
The young girl appears cross-legged seated, wearing the Queen of Floral Games dress that took place in Cordoba in 1930. This young girl has dark-wavy hair. Her feaures are peaceful. She is hardly wearing any make-up. She smiling, posing sideways. Her hands are on her lap. On her head a magnificent silver crown covers her whole forehead. She is dressed in grey. Her sleeveless dress is very elegante, the neckline is round and the stapps wide. Her stockings arewhite and see-through and she has dancing shoes. From her straps a queen-like cape falls to the ground. It is purple. As a successful painter, he was visited at his studio by different audience and all of them aspired to order Romero de Torres a portrait. Elegance and perfection can be admired grasping the pleats ant the brightness of her dress. In the background appears an horizon in green, blue and other tones under a stormy sky.
